These standards keep the marketplace high-trust, easy to use, and genuinely helpful for ERG leaders. By joining ERGs.io, you agree to the expectations below.
1) Listing Accuracy
Your listing must be truthful, current, and specific.
Keep your offer descriptions, pricing ranges, availability, and contact info up to date.
No misleading claims (inflated outcomes, fake testimonials, inaccurate client relationships).
2) Professional Responsiveness
Respond to ERG leader inquiries within 3 business days.
If you’re unavailable, send a quick “received + next step” message.
If you decline an opportunity, communicate that clearly and promptly.
3) Clear Pricing & Scope
Provide a realistic starting price or range (not “contact for pricing” only).
Be clear about what’s included: format, length, deliverables, minimums, add-ons, and travel requirements.
If pricing varies by audience size, customization, or travel, state the driver simply.
4) Quality of Delivery
Deliver what you sell: the promised format, duration, and experience.
Use materials and facilitation that are appropriate for workplace settings.
Come prepared: run-of-show, A/V needs, pre-session questions, and clean handoffs.
5) Workplace-Ready Conduct
Treat all participants with respect and professionalism.
Do not harass, intimidate, shame, or target attendees (in-session or in follow-ups).
Protect confidentiality: don’t share internal company details or member information without permission.
6) Discriminatory Content (Not Allowed)
ERGs.io is a workplace-facing platform. Vendors may not promote, share, or deliver content that targets, demeans, excludes, or stereotypes people based on protected or commonly recognized identity traits (spoken, written, visual, or implied).
This includes content that:
A) Degrades or dehumanizes a group
Slurs, mockery, “jokes,” or coded language meant to insult or humiliate
Comparing groups to animals, criminals, or “lesser” people
Encouraging hostility toward an identity group
B) Promotes exclusion or unequal treatment
“Certain groups shouldn’t be hired/lead/participate”
Claims that some identities are inherently inferior, dangerous, or incapable
Advocacy to remove rights, access, or protections from a group
C) Uses stereotypes as “education”
Harmful generalizations presented as truth (“X group is always…”)
“Culture” content that relies on caricatures, tropes, or exaggerated stereotypes
Sexualized or objectifying framing of any identity group
D) Harasses or invalidates identity
Deliberate misgendering or ridicule of gender identity/expression
Attacking people for disability, neurotype, religion, nationality, or immigration status
Dismissing lived experiences in a way that becomes hostile or targeting
E) Includes hate symbols or extremist promotion
Symbols, slogans, or imagery associated with hate groups
Content that supports violence, intimidation, or organized hatred
What’s allowed: Hard topics are welcome when they’re workplace-appropriate, educational, respectful, and focused on outcomes (skills, understanding, safety) without attacking any identity group.
7) Compliance & Risk Awareness
You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and workplace policies.
If your work touches regulated areas (medical, legal, mental health), you must:
set appropriate boundaries,
use correct disclaimers,
avoid presenting guidance as licensed advice when it isn’t.
8) Intellectual Property & Content Use
Only upload/share materials you own or have rights to use.
Do not reuse company or ERG materials without explicit permission.
ERGs.io may feature your listing content for platform promotion (you keep ownership of your work).
9) Buyer Experience Standards
No spam, pressure tactics, or aggressive upselling in first contact.
Keep discovery calls efficient and respectful of volunteer time.
Communicate clearly on next steps, timelines, and logistics.
10) Enforcement
To protect marketplace quality, ERGs.io may:
request edits to your listing,
pause or remove listings that violate standards,
revoke access for repeated issues, severe misconduct, or misrepresentation.
11) Updates to Standards
These standards may evolve as the marketplace grows. Vendors will be notified of material changes.
